TSD Rail Team is looking for:

JAVA SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - CONTRIBUTOR

ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES:
• Under general supervision, develops, codes, tests and debugs new moderately complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity.
• Has good understanding of business application.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
• Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• May assist in development of software technical documentation.
• Demonstrates software.
• Designs and codes moderately complex applications using routine and/or advanced technology;
• May create optimization programs to resolve problems; May design and build prototype applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent, M.S. degree in Computer Science preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing Java applications

Technical skills:

• Very good programming skills in Java Development Kit 6.0 or later
• Familiar with JavaScript, knowledge of GWT
• Experience with XML, Web Services technologies (JAXB, JAX-WS, Axis), Spring framework
• Knowledge of J2EE (servlets), Tomcat is a plus
• Experience using SQL (Oracle), Eclipse, Subversion is a plus

Other skills:

• Very good communication skills in English, written and verbal
• At least intermediate knowledge of German is a plus
• Very good interpersonal skills and engagement
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results
• Analytical thinking
• Strong team player
